Mamamia, Australia's premier women's media network is looking for a passionate Podcast Producer to join our growing Podcast team. As the Podcast Producer you will be responsible for producing a number of weekly and seasonal podcasts including researching and booking guests, pitching ideas, recording, editing and promoting podcasts.The ideal candidate is someone who is a creative self-starter who works well both independently and as part of a team. They will have a passion for podcasts, a good ear for audio creative and the ability to take direction and work in a fast paced environment.

About the Role

  • Produce and edit 2-3 podcasts a week, a weekly and two seasonal podcasts¬†
  • Manage the entire creative process; source story ideas, concepts, research, write scripts book and manage talent and edit final product!
  • Record in house in our own Mamamia Podcast Studios
  • Assist in the growth of the podcast network through research and promotion of the podcasts
  • Coordinate with audience development team to scheduled podcasts
  • Work with the commercial team to deliver quality sponsorships
  • Brainstorm new ideas for shows
  • Provide feedback to hosts regarding show performance
  • Edit the audio, sound check other podcasts for the team

About You

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience as a Producer
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, radio communications preferred
  • Experience using audio editing software, Adobe audition or Pro Tools will be highly regarded
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Work under tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Create new ideas and shows from scratch that can reach large audiences
  • Highly organised with the ability to meet multiple deadlines while managing a variety of stakeholders
  • High level Problem solving skills
  • Experience managing and booking talent
